Welcoming Beth Grady to the Board of Directors

Updated: May 22, 2024

We are thrilled to welcome Beth Grady to our Board of Directors.

Beth Grady lives in Dartmouth Nova Scotia with her husband and dog Stanley. She was first introduced to the North Grove when she was working with Bruno Builders on the “One Roof” campaign in 2019. As an avid gardener, she was amazed by the efforts and results of the farm. As a Dartmouth resident, she was inspired by the roots created in the community by the food grown in the garden.

While at Bruno Builders Beth provided leadership to a team of over 20 construction professionals. Under her direction they successfully delivered quality custom design build projects, in both the residential and commercial construction sectors. Prior to her executive leadership role at Bruno, she was a senior project manager who successfully delivered several mixed-use development projects and multiple commercial projects. Beth is currently a Senior Project Manager with Colliers Project Leaders where she is working on various capital projects in the Healthcare and Affordable Housing Sectors.

The North Grove captured Beth's heart when she was working as part of the construction team that brought the Family Centre and Community Food Centre together under one roof. She is inspired by the skills-based programs at The North Grove that focus on empowering community members and strengthening social connections.

"I am excited to contribute to the growth and development of such an effective community hub and honoured to serve on the board," says Beth.

The North Grove gratefully acknowledges that we live and work in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq people.

This territory is covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship which Mi’kmaq, Wolastoqiyik, and Passamaquoddy People first signed with the British Crown in 1726. We are all treaty people.

People of African descent have also shared these lands for more than 400 years.

We acknowledge the histories, contributions, and legacies of these communities and are grateful to live, work and grow food in Mi’kma’ki.
