We offer both multi-week parenting programs such as Prenatal, Incredible Years, and How to Talk so Kids Will Listen, as well as once-time workshops like Bedtime Blues and Toilet Learning. These programs include a snack and on-site childcare is provided.
Engaging children’s imaginations through art, crafts, song, and games, the child development team encourages children to develop their language and social skills through play. These programs are for children under the age of 5 and take place while parents/caregivers engage in parenting programs.
Parent-child interactive programs
Sign-up for Wiggles & Giggles, Jump Jiggle Jive, Family Playgroup and more! Together, you and your child can take part in fun activities, make crafts, enjoy snacks, sing songs, and more. All parent-child programs require registration, except Baby & Me which is drop-in. Baby & Me is for parents/caregivers and babies up to 12 months.
Drop-in Room & Trading Cupboard
Visit our drop-in room, and pick up bread donated from Feed Nova Scotia and use our Trading Cupboard. The Trading Cupboard operates on a credit system: bring in unexpired, non-perishable food and toiletry items and you’ll get credit for each item. You can then use that credit to take home items from the trading cupboard, such as canned goods, coffee/tea, toilet paper, toiletries, etc.
Sunshine Gang Summer Camp
These four-day summer camps give children aged 3-5 the chance to socialize with their peers before they start grade primary. Each week has a different theme and full of activities, games, and new friends.
