Mac & Cheese Pasta Salad

This cool, tangy and comforting pasta salad is always a favourite at our Farm Season Opener and community BBQs! 


This is a great recipe to jazz up a box of Kraft Dinner or use up some excess veggies in your fridge. Feel free to swap out the peppers and onions for what you have on hand. 



Makes: 4 servings


Ingredients 

  • 1 box Kraft Dinner or elbow macaroni (or any pasta shape) 

  • 1 tbsp diced red onion 

  • 1 tbsp diced green pepper 

  • 1 tbsp diced pickles 


Sauce 

  • 1/2 cup sour cream 

  • 1/2 cup mayo 

  • 1 packet Kraft Dinner cheese powder  

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar  

  • Salt & pepper to taste 

 

Instructions 

  1. Cook macaroni according to instructions on box. Drain and cool. 

  2. Add all sauce ingredients to a separate bowl. Whisk until combined. 

  3. Once cooled, combine pasta with sauce and diced veggies. 

  4. Chill prepared pasta salad. The flavours are even better the next day!
