Your summer veggies just found their match!

Chris, the Community Meals Coordinator at The North Grove, recently whipped up this simple dip for a volunteer veggie tray and within minutes, people were asking for the recipe, going back for seconds, and raving about the flavor.

We knew a recipe this good couldn't stay a secret. Whether you enjoy it as a fresh salad dressing or a flavorful dip for vegetables, we hope it becomes a favorite in your home, too.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayo

  • 1 tbsp grainy dijon mustard

  • 1 tbsp ketchup

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp white vinegar

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 1 tsp chopped basil

  • 2 cloves shaved garlic

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl

  • Serve over a garden salad or as a dip for veggies or chips.

The North Grove gratefully acknowledges that we live and work in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq people.

This territory is covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship which Mi’kmaq, Wolastoqiyik, and Passamaquoddy People first signed with the British Crown in 1726. We are all treaty people.

People of African descent have also shared these lands for more than 400 years.

We acknowledge the histories, contributions, and legacies of these communities and are grateful to live, work and grow food in Mi’kma’ki.
