From The North Grove Kitchen: "Big McKay" Burger Sauce

The Halifax Burger Bash begins this Thursday, April 11th! The North Grove recently celebrated our own Burger Bash with a mouthwatering take on a classic fast food burger. 

 

Community members sunk their teeth into our 'Big McKay' burger! Community Meals Coordinator, Chris crafted this juicy all-beef burger with gooey cheese, and all the fixins' - complete with a special sauce!  

 

The 'Big McKay' sauce was such a hit, that we decided to share the recipe with you. Whip this up at home with a variety of condiments that you may already have in your fridge!  



Makes: 10-15 servings

  

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup mayonnaise  

  • 1/4 cup ketchup   

  • 2 tbsp mustard  

  • 2 tbsp relish  

  • 1 tbsp vinegar  

  • Salt to taste  

 

Instructions 

  1. Add all of the wet ingredients to a bowl. Whisk together.  

  2. Taste the sauce and add salt as desired.  

  3. Serve on a juicy beef or veggie burger or as a dip for potato wedges or fries!
